I have on a number of occasions expressed that I am more annoyed with people complaining about SOPA and using it to inversely justify their piratical tendencies than I am about SOPA itself. Shit law, great ethical basis though. My personal favourite whine I read on the Facebook is that it impinges upon “First Amendment Rights”. I wasn’t aware that the US Constitution had provisions for intellectual property theft, as many of you moralising Internet hipsters seem to be trying to claim… The free speech argument in this case doesn’t justify downloading movies, it only let’s me say things like “The O’Rielly Factor sucks” or “Mario is the best game ever”. That and all of the people I have on Facebook are Australian…
